This truck will be in California soon, or at your place (maybe), if you're fast enough (I have my doubts). One word from the web-admin : It seems to be a very rare breed, and ready for an easy and comfortable dream camper conversion. What a time when are you sipping your glass of champagne during your next vacation and next to this (maybe your) camper ???

Equipped with a 2.2 Liter carbureted  M180 inline 6 cylinder gas engine (single overhead camshaft). Manual transmission is full synchro-mesh 6 fwd speeds and 2 rev, with shifting on the fly 4-wheel drive and diff-lock on both portal axles. Load capacity of 1.5 tons and (????? air over hydraulic brakes ?????).

Features : !!!   SOLD !!!!!

S404.1  fire truck, Bus style
The truck seems in very good condition.
considering that is was once used to put out fires.
It looks, drives, shifts, brakes all great.
Achim assures me, that there is next to no rust or dents.

asking price : US $ 1x,x00.-

Above and below : Front and side views including some peeks into the storage compartments and the rear storage compartment. It's very roomy and seems in really good shape for it's 30 years of pampered fire engine life.

A peek into the interior and onto the roof. It's one big bus style Unimog and this time with plenty of room, wherever you look. It seats a total of 10 persons including pilot and co-pilot.

Well, it wouldn't be a fire-truck without the big water pump and it's Unimog style PTO powered.
Keep in mind that you have the pump up front if you try to park in a tight spot.

One word from the web-admin : This seems to be a very rare S404.0 fire-truck (bus style). It looks like it's in really good shape. Personally I like the S404.0 style of hard cabs the best. The split windshield and the semi round looking front nose (the 406 is to round and the new ones are to boxy) as well as the portal axles, give it this great look of a real professional off road monster. A real Daimler Benz (Mercedes) product.
